PROJECT OVERVIEW

I was tasked with creating a complete brand identity for a new content marketing agency called Ellipses. The agency’s witty voice was already set in writing. My job was to translate that personality into a full visual system that embodied their core value: that great content is the product of expert writing and expert design.

THE LOGO

The name itself gave me the big idea. The three dots in an ellipsis represented the company’s three founders. This inspired a “the best things come in threes” concept that became the foundation for the entire brand look.

The logo was the first objective. With three dots and an all-lowercase wordmark, I gave it a solid, heavy drop shadow to make it punchy and high-contrast. This drop shadow element would become a recurring motif appearing across all other brand assets to create consistency.

When it came to typography, I paired the quirky Bricolage Grotesque for headlines with the clean Inter for body text. I used this combination to give the brand a bit of personality while still ensuring easy reading. A third expressive font, Texturina, was used for special emphasis.
