The big question for eSecurity Planet, a leading cybersecurity news site, was how to modernize its brand without losing its recognizable shield. Coming to me for a complete visual refresh, its new system had to be clean, accessible, and ready for any digital platform.

So I started with a deep dive into today's tech aesthetics. I looked at color trends and how other brands used shield motifs. This helped me map out a plan: first color, then logo, then a system to hold it all together.

When it came to the palette, accessibility was the main thought. I chose a brilliant blue that provided high contrast with white text. Then I added a spark of energetic green to draw attention where it was needed. I even named each color with alliterations that were on theme.

Thinking about the logo, it was clear the shield had to stay. My solution was to rebuild it from scratch. I used simple geometric shapes to give it a modern feel that was scalable and still suggested digital security.

Instead of abandoning the shield, I reimagined it. I explored geometric and minimalist takes to create a mark that felt current and symbolized digital security in a clean, scalable way.

This led to the project's most important insight. A new logo and colors are just decorations without a clear guide on how to use them. The real need was for a design system that would last.

The final delivery was therefore much more than a logo. It was a complete identity system with a brand guide that future-proofed their brand, giving them the tools to create cohesive assets for years to come.
